STEP 1. first I welded together a copper
armature with the shape and dimensions that I wanted my sculpture to be.
This is a necessary step to add stability to the piece as you work on it and
to give it strength when you are done with it. |
STEP 2. I layer it in tightly packed
tin foil to give it its underlying shape.

STEP 3. I sculpt the face onto the tin foil
armature |
STEP 4. I add the headband and give the body
some shape and detail. |
STEP 5. I sculpt the " hair" on
top of the headband |
STEP 6. I scupt the clothes onto the
body using white and black polymer clays and press fabrics on them to give
them the texture and look of fabric. |
STEP 7. Using paint and airbrush I add color
to the sculpt and paint the eyes. |
STEP 8. Now I sculpt the arms and hands and
figure out the proper placing for them. |
